KYPHI EGYPTIAN INCENSE

Kyphi, also known as Kapet was a type of incense favored in ancient Egypt and Syria. There's no specific compound, but rather a few core ingredients, and various styles according to the makers translation. In this class we'll talk about where these formulas were found, where the materials came from, how Kyphi was used, and it's history. Using some herbs and materials that were found in ancient texts, we'll reconstruct Kyphi incense in our own personal interpretation.
