PAPER INCENSE CLASS - CLASS FULL
Paper incense has been in production since the end of the19th century. Two French men, a chemist and a pharmacist begun developing paper incense after the chemist, Auguste Ponsot discovered the benefits of benzoin resin. Combining benzoin with incense paper was their invention. Initially paper incense was popular with pharmacists who recommended it as a disinfectant during flu epidemics. Today it’s a novel way of burning incense.
In this class guests will learn how to choose appropriate paper for their incense, how to prepare the medium for scenting, and how to create an even burn. Guests will make a simple perfume, and scent a sheet of incense paper. Guests will be able to create incense strips, or cut into shapes.
Each guest will make 12 - 50 paper incenses depending on their size and shape.
Please note this is not a natural botanical incense class.
