KATHMANDU is juniper forest smoke at altitude — resinous, dry, and quietly expansive.
Formulated by Persephenie and hand-twisted in the Himalayan Mountains by a small atelier using indigenous aromatic herbs, each rope is formed without a bamboo core and burns cleanly, with a soft smoke true to the material.
The ropes are dense, dark, and irregular - slightly different in the hand.
Presented in a handmade Lokta paper clamshell box, hot gold stamped and finished with a simple closure. Designed to be kept and revisited.
Imported in small batches. Availability shifts with seasonal production and transport from Nepal.
Directions:
Light the tip and allow to catch. Gently extinguish the flame.
Place on a bed of White Ash or on a heat-safe surface.
White Ash allows the rope to rest and burn evenly, preserving its full expression.
Use with attention.
