KYPHI EGYPTIAN INCENSE
Kyphi, also known as Kapet was a type of incense favored in ancient Egypt and Syria. There's no specific compound, but rather a few core ingredients, and various styles according to the makers translation. In this class we'll talk about different recipes, were they were found, where the materials came from, how Kyphi was used, and it's history. Using some of the herbs and materials that were found in ancient texts, you'll reconstruct Kyphi incense in your own personal interpretation.
This is a hands on class, and all materials are included. Guests will make and take home their own handmade Kyphi.
