The Kuppi is a handmade bulbous leather bottle used to contain oil.
Traditionally made of camel skin, the Kuppi has history alongside the manufacturing of Traditional Indian Attars. Used to age sandalwood infused attars, the art of crafting a Kuppi bottle is fading due to the shrinking industry of Traditional Indian Attars, and using aluminum bottles in their place.
For the perfumer and aromatic collector, these are treasures!
I have a limited amount of bottles, and it’s not clear when I will receive more.
These Kuppi bottles are made of leather, are new, supporting artisans whose families have made them for generations.
